After Gujarat, Bhagavad Gita can be included in the school curriculum of Karnataka also. State Education Minister B.C. Nagesh indicated this on Friday. He said that Bhagavad Gita is not only for Hindus, it is for all. If experts are to be believed, it must be taught in school.
Earlier the BJP government of Gujarat had decided to include the Bhagavad Gita in the school curriculum for classes 6-12. Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani had announced the inclusion of Bhagavad Gita in the school curriculum a day ago.
This step will be implemented from the academic year 2022-23. This decision of the government will be applicable to all government and aided schools of Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Karnataka government can also take a decision
Karnataka Education Minister B.C. Nagesh said that Bhagavad Gita is not only for Hindus, it is for everyone. According to experts, it must be taught in school. First we have to decide whether to reintroduce moral education in school or not.
