After the crushing defeat in the elections, ‘G23’ leaders can hold a meeting tomorrow



After the humiliating defeat of the Congress in the assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur, ‘G23’ in Delhi yesterday. Multiple leaders of the group can hold the meeting. If sources are to be believed, apart from G23 leaders, other Congress leaders can also attend this meeting.  G-23 is a group of leaders who wrote a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi in August 2020 to press for internal reform and collective leadership. This group includes Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma and Kapil Sibal. 

The meeting is likely to be held tomorrow at 7 pm. Sources said that the venue of the meeting has not been decided yet. It will be a hybrid mode meeting in which many leaders will be able to attend it virtually. After a crushing defeat in the assembly polls, a group of G-23 leaders met at the Delhi residence of senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Friday to discuss the latest round of electoral defeats for the party.

This meeting was held by Azad even before the official announcement of the CWC meeting held soon after the election results were declared. Let us tell you that after the electoral defeat in five states, the era of discussion and counter-allegations has started in the Congress.
