Amit Shah said – CISF did a great job during the Kovid period, now showing power in ‘Operation Ganga’ too
CISF Raising Day 2022: The 53rd Raising Day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is being celebrated today i.e. on Sunday. During this, Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the ceremony as the chief guest at the CISF Camp at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. During the program, the Union Home Minister said that the CISF has done a great job during the Kovid period. He said, “CISF personnel are also working in Operation Ganga. They have an important role in running the Delhi Metro. The responsibility of CISF will be expanded.”
Home Minister Amit Shah said, “During the corona pandemic, when Indians were coming back from abroad, CISF personnel took the risk of looking after them and even lost their lives. They were returning from Ukraine under Operation Ganga. are also taking care of the citizens.
‘Our jawans helped people in case of emergency’
During this, Director General of CISF Sheel Vardhan Singh said, “Today we are playing an important role in the development of the country by being at the forefront of security in Space and Atomic Energy Centers, Ports, Airports and Metro Rail.” He said, “More than 30 lakh passengers in Delhi Metro and 10 lakh passengers at airports across the country pass through CISF security. We have returned luggage worth Rs 12 crore to air passengers, while our jawans did it in case of emergency. Has helped people.
Let us tell you that the foundation day of CISF is on 10 March. However, this time the results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections are going to come on this date. In such a situation, this program has already been organized. CISF was established on 10 March 1969. This paramilitary force comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
