In the assembly elections held in five states, the Congress has suffered a crushing defeat, meanwhile, the voice of change of leadership in the party is increasing continuously. Even in the meeting of the Congress Working Committee held on Sunday, no major decision was taken in this regard. Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has given a big statement.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in Guwahati that I do not want to comment on the internal affairs of the Congress party, but the continuous electoral defeat has proved that this Gandhi family cannot lead the Congress to victory. He said that even the Congress would not be visible in the general elections.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi said in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Sunday that “we are ready for any sacrifice in the interest of the party”. After this, the leaders involved in the CWC expressed confidence in his leadership and urged him to continue in the post till the organizational elections are over. The leaders involved in the CWC also asked Sonia Gandhi to make necessary changes and take corrective steps to strengthen the Congress.
In the CWC meeting chaired by Sonia Gandhi for about four and a half hours, it was also decided that a ‘Chintan Shivir’ would be organized immediately after the budget session of Parliament, in which the further strategy would be decided. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot proposed to organize ‘Chintan Shivir’ in his state. There will be another CWC meeting before the ‘Chintan Shivir’.
