After the defeat in the assembly elections held in five states, there is a churning phase in the Congress. Today on Wednesday, the leaders of the disgruntled G-23 camp of Congress held a meeting at the residence of former Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Nabi Azad in Delhi. A statement was issued by the group after the meeting. The leaders said that it is necessary to strengthen the Congress to compete with the BJP.
According to the statement issued by G-23, a good option is necessary to challenge the BJP. Congress talks to like-minded parties. G-23 leaders said that we urge the Congress to initiate dialogue with like-minded forces to pave the way for a credible alternative for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Adopting a model of collective, inclusive leadership and decision making at all levels is the only way forward for the Congress.
