Parliament Session: After the assembly election results of five states including Uttar Pradesh, the government is going to stand in front of the opposition for the first time today. Actually, the second phase of the budget session is starting from today in which the opposition and the government will be seen face to face and during this time the opposition will try to surround the government on many issues including unemployment, employee provident fund.
The second phase of the budget session is being held at a time where BJP has won four states in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur assembly elections last week. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, in the election results, BJP has won an absolute majority by winning 273 seats out of 403 seats. At the same time, the Samajwadi Party, which took on the BJP, won 111 seats, while the Congress got only two seats.

In fact, during the elections, Akhilesh Yadav was seen campaigning loudly in the state, while Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and leader Rahul Gandhi were also seen wooing the public by entering the fray. However, the results were not as they expected. The opposition is ready to surround the government on many issues in the budget session. It is believed that the opposition will try to surround the government on the issue of rising unemployment, interest rate cut on Employees Provident Fund and evacuation of Indians trapped in war-torn Ukraine and many other matters. At the same time, getting Parliament’s approval for budgetary proposals and presenting the budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will be on the top of the government’s agenda.
According to the information, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for Jammu and Kashmir and it can be discussed in the House during the post-lunch proceedings. The government has also listed the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order (Amendment) Bill for consideration and passing in the Lok Sabha. In the first phase of the budget session, from January 29 to February 11, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were conducted in two different shifts.
