West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during the TMC State Committee meeting today directed the party to start preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, Mamta Banerjee has once again expressed her desire to be the face of the opposition in the 2024 elections. West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has attacked this.
Sukant Majumdar said that such a big target is not good for the health of TMC. He said that winning the West Bengal assembly elections does not mean that CM Mamta will win the Lok Sabha elections also, we will defeat her.

Let us tell you that in the meeting, Mamta Banerjee has decided to form a new TMC State Committee. During this, Mamta Banerjee targeted the BJP fiercely. CM Mamta said that there is a lack of BJP’s option at the center, so we have to give its option to the people. He said that we have to be active and we have to prepare for the 2024 general elections to remove the BJP. Let us inform that election strategist Prashant Kishor was also present in this meeting.
Suspended BJP leader Jai Prakash Majumdar joins TMC
At the same time, suspended senior BJP leader Jai Prakash Majumdar joined the Trinamool Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata today. Jai Prakash Majumdar was suspended from BJP in January this year. Soon after Jai Prakash Majumdar joined the TMC, he was inducted into the party’s state committee. Leaders like Mukul Roy, Sabyasachi Dutta and Rajiv Banerjee, including former Union Minister Babul Supriyo, have returned to the TMC after the TMC’s thumping victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections in 2021.
