Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of running away with EVMs and stealing votes through administrative machinery.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said in a statement late on Tuesday that this is the same SP with which the public is upset and on March 10, Akhilesh will say EVM is unfaithful. Anurag Thakur said that Akhilesh has started calling EVMs unfaithful on March 8, two days ago.
When the public did it,
So now EVM has become unfaithful.
Akhilesh Yadav could not even wait till 10th March, started crying out for infidelity of EVMs from today itself.

Anurag Thakur took a jibe
In a statement issued from the BJP headquarters on Tuesday, Thakur said that when Akhilesh Yadav used to talk about Nai Hawa, Nai SP, he had said in response that he is the air, that is the SP, due to which the public is angry. The Union Minister said that we had also said that on March 10, Akhilesh will say that EVMs are unfaithful, but from March 8, Akhilesh has been bent on proving EVMs unfaithful and is looking for an excuse for his defeat.
It is worth noting that Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference on Tuesday and accused the UP government that the chief secretary’s call is going from place to place to slow the counting of votes where BJP loses. Along with this, he said that today EVMs were being taken to Banaras. One truck was caught, two ran away with the truck.
Akhilesh’s allegation – Government is stealing votes
Akhilesh Yadav said, “If the government was not stealing votes, then tell that one vehicle was stopped, it was caught.. Why two vehicles ran away? If there was no theft, why didn’t the administration make security arrangements. There is so much force.” Right now. Election force has not gone from UP. So why were the officials not doing (security). What is the reason that EVMs were going without security arrangements.”
EVMs cannot move without candidates
Akhilesh Yadav said that EVMs cannot move (from here to there) without informing the candidate. If you have to move EVMs, then at least the candidates who are contesting elections. It should be in their knowledge. He said, “They (BJP) panicked the very day some places came in the newspapers that somewhere the park is being cleaned. Somewhere the house is being cleaned.”
