CBI arrested the superintendent and inspector of CGST, this is the allegation

Even though the posting of two officers posted in CGST was in Andaman and Nicobar called Kalapani, but even there they did not deter from taking bribe and got tightened in the clutches of CBI. The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested the Superintendent and Inspector of CGST posted in Andaman and Nicobar in connection with the bribery case. These people were caught red handed taking ₹ 5000 while the recovery was more than nine lakh rupees. Both the officers are now behind bars.

Based on the complaint of the complainant, the CBI conducted a preliminary inquiry into the matter and when important preliminary facts were found during the preliminary investigation, a case was registered against the accused officers under various criminal sections. After this, the CBI laid a trap and arrested the officers who were taking bribe of Rs. After the arrest, raids were conducted at the places of both of them.
