Goa Election 2022: A day after the predictions of a hung assembly in Goa in the post-poll survey i.e. exit polls, the political excitement in the state has intensified. Congress is focusing on keeping its candidates united and is planning to take them to the resort. A senior party leader gave this information on Tuesday.

The number of Congress members in the outgoing assembly has come down from 17 to two. In five years, 15 of its MLAs have joined the BJP, but this time the Congress will leave no stone unturned to keep its candidates united. A senior Congress leader said, “All Congress candidates will stay on Wednesday at a resort in North Goa, from where they will go to the counting centres.”
The Congress has asked all its winning candidates to reach the party office after the results are out. “We have full faith in our candidates, but we don’t want to give any chance,” the senior Congress leader said. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday in the capital Delhi.
The senior Goa BJP leader said he has devised a “full-proof strategy” so that the party retains its power in the state. BJP has asked all its winning candidates to reach the party office in Panaji after counting of votes on Thursday. “We will not waste time in deciding our leader and forming the government,” he said.
TMC claims to win 7-8 seats
On the other hand, Trinamool Congress has said that it will win seven-eight seats and its alliance partner MGP will get four-five seats and after that it will negotiate for the chief minister’s post. TMC state chief Kiran Kandolkar said, “We have no fear that our candidates will leave the party. We also know that no government will be formed without the cooperation of TMC and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP).”
