After the meeting, several CWC leaders told that Sonia Gandhi said in the CWC meeting, ‘We are ready to make any sacrifice in the interest of the party as per the wishes of the Congress workers.’ Many are seeing this as an offer of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to be relieved of party responsibilities.
