Mumbai Police Crime Branch is looking for its own IPS officer Saurav Tripathi who is working as DCP in Mumbai Police. Sourav Tripathi has been appointed as Lt. An absconding accused has been told in a case of recovery registered at Marg police station. The investigation of this recovery case has been handed over to the Crime Branch and 3 policemen have been arrested in this case.
What is the recovery case?
This matter is related to Angadia people (courier workers of diamond, gold and silver). It is alleged that Lt. 3 police personnel of Marg police station made recovery by wrongly keeping Angadiya in custody. The matter is being investigated by the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai Crime Branch which has arrested three police officers- Police Inspector Om Wangte, Assistant Police Inspector Nitin Kadam and Police Sub-Inspector Samadhan Jamdade. Om Wangte allegedly used to extort money from Angadiya located in south Mumbai’s Mumbadevi area.
