According to the DG, this is also a matter related to giving security to houses and temples. If Kashmiri Pandits ask them to vacate the house, they will vacate it, they have no objection. Regarding the film Kashmir Files, the CRPF DG said that no decision has been taken yet regarding the screening. But he definitely said that if any film or drama inspires, then it can be seen and a decision will be taken in the meeting regarding this. The DG said that till last year, the situation of pashopas used to be maintained regarding the foundation day of CRPF. Because CRPF had four different Raising Days. But from this year it has been decided that CRPF-Day will be celebrated on March 19 only. According to the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the first foundation day will be celebrated outside the capital Delhi in Jammu. In which Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to attend.
Reduction in terrorist incidents in Kashmir Valley – DG
In the annual press conference, the CRPF DG told with the figures how there has been a decrease in terrorist incidents in the Kashmir Valley in the last one year as compared to the previous years. He told that 175 terrorists were killed in 91 encounters with security forces in the last one year. Along with this, 183 terrorists were also arrested – DG told that there is a large deployment of CRPF in Naxal-affected areas and efforts are on to rein in Naxalites. However, he also said that in the bastion of Naxalites, there is a lot of difficulty in preparing the road and other infrastructure. Regarding the difficulties being faced in airlifting the injured soldiers during the encounter, he said that many times it is refused due to weather or night-flying, otherwise the Air Wing and Air Force of BSF are always ready to help.
