Services on three corridors of the Delhi Metro, called the lifeline of Delhi public transport, were affected for nearly two hours on Thursday due to a technical snag. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has given information about this by tweeting. The disruption in service led to long queues at several stations, pictures of which have been shared by passengers on social media. However, after a while the services were fixed.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had tweeted at around 9 am to alert the passengers that there is a delay in the services of Violet, Green and Pink lines of Delhi Metro. A senior Delhi Metro official informed that the delay in services was due to a “technical glitch”.

DMRC informed about the normalization of services by tweeting at around 11.30 am. He tweeted and said that now the services have become normal. However, we are still monitoring our system to avoid any further inconvenience.
