Delhi riots accused Ishrat Jahan may come out of jail soon, now bail after 2 years

Former Congress corporator Ishrat Jahan, accused of Delhi riots, has been granted bail by Additional Sessions Judge Amitabh Rawat of Karkardooma court. But she has not come out of jail yet. The reason behind this is the verification of documents, on which the police will present the report before the court at 2 pm on Wednesday. If all goes well, Ishrat will be out of jail by Wednesday night. Ishrat’s lawyer Pradeep Teotia has given information about this.

what is the matter

Ishrat Jahan’s lawyer Pradeep Teotia told that the Delhi Police had arrested Ishrat Jahan on charges of indulging in the conspiracy of Delhi riots, blocking the wheel, etc. He was arrested in February 2020. Ishrat was arrested under various sections of the IPC and UAPA (Un-Law Full Activity Prevention Act). The police had made allegations against Ishrat that she was directly involved in the conspiracy of Delhi riots and she was also funded for this. Ishrat also did a Chakka Jam.

This argument was given before the court

Advocate Pradeep Teotia, appearing before the court on behalf of Ishrat Jahan, argued in the court that no evidence of his client’s involvement in any conspiracy of the Delhi riots had come to light and the police had falsely accused him of a serious offense like UAPA. is framed. Neither the police could find any link of Ishrat being associated in the WhatsApp group nor did Ishrat block the road. Ishrat’s presence was not even found at the place where the riots took place. Nor has the police been able to put forward any evidence against Ishrat even regarding funding. After listening to our brokers, the court has given regular bail to Ishrat. However, he has not been acquitted yet.

Police’s argument

However, the public prosecutor, appearing for the police, had said before the court that the conspiracy to riot in Delhi was pre-planned and Ishrat Jahan’s role was also there. The demonstration that was going on in Khureji did not happen like this. That conspiracy was started under tax.

Was married on 12 June 2020

Please tell that Ishrat Jahan had married only during the arrest. She was married to Farhan Hashmi on 12 June 2020. For this, Ishrat was granted interim bail. Farhan says that Ishrat has been in jail for 2 years and now she has got bail. Few formalities of verification etc. are left. He is expected to come out of jail by Wednesday night.
