Punjab Election Result 2022: Film actor Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood has lost from Moga seat in the Punjab Assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora has won from this seat. Dr. Amandeep Kaur has defeated Malvika by more than 20 thousand votes.

Let us tell you that the Moga assembly seat is considered to be an important seat of Punjab from the very beginning. Congress had won from this seat in the 2017 assembly elections. Harjot Kamal Singh of Congress defeated Ramesh Grover of Aam Aadmi Party by 1764 votes in a tight contest.

Malvika had joined Congress on January 10

Malvika Sood had joined the Congress on January 10 this year. Malvika joined the Congress in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and state Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu. Actor Sonu Sood also campaigned for his sister to win. However, Malvika lost the election.

AAP on its way to a thumping majority

At the same time, for the first time in Punjab, the government of Aam Aadmi Party is going to be formed. In Punjab’s 117 assembly seats, the Aam Aadmi Party is leading in 92 seats in the trends. In such a situation, the Aam Aadmi Party is on the way to get a thumping majority. In trends, Congress is leading in 17, Shiromani Akali Dal is leading in 4 seats. The majority figure for the 117 assembly seats here is 59, while the Aam Aadmi Party is far ahead.

Bhagwant is believed to be the hero of this historic victory of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. The party had made him the face of the Chief Minister. Bhagwant Mann was contesting from Sangrur seat. He has won by more than 50 thousand votes.
