With this resounding victory, Yogi Adityanath’s stature in the party has increased further. How Yogi Adityanath reached the pinnacle of power
When the results of the 2017 assembly elections came out, the BJP won with 300 plus seats. Although initially Manoj Sinha had come in front of CM race, but BJP took an unexpected decision and handed over the chief minister’s post to Yogi Adityanath. At that time, Yogi Adityanath’s image was as the ‘poster boy’ of Hindutva, wearing saffron clothes and a bright leader. This style of his continues even today.
Critics of Yogi Adityanath believe that while handling the state with the largest population of the country, there may have been some balance in his fire brand image, but he has not changed much, it is not so.

On 12 September 2014, after Mahant Avaidyanath became Brahmalin, Yogi was declared Mahant of Gorakshapeeth. Record made after 37 years
After nearly 37 years in UP, BJP seems to be making a record by forming a government with full majority again. Political analysts say that this has increased the stature of Yogi Adityanath. Before this, in 1985, for the second time in a row, the Congress party formed the government with an absolute majority.
Yogi is believed to have initiated the polarization of votes by giving the slogan of 80 vs 20 percent in the current assembly elections. Analysts see 20 percent as the Muslim population and 80 percent as the Hindu population. Its Yogi also made the action taken against the mafia and criminals an issue throughout the election.
‘Yogi’s bulldozer’ dominated the election campaign of top BJP leaders. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also often used to taunt Yogi by taking the name of bulldozer and bull (bull) in his meetings. Yadav had made an issue of not being able to control the animals left in the elections.
