The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked Union Minister Narayan Rane to remove the ‘unauthorised’ construction at his bungalow in suburban Juhu within 15 days. A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official said that as per a notice issued last week, the owner/officials of the bungalow ‘Aadish’, owned by the BJP leader, were asked to remove the above ‘unauthorized’ construction within 15 days from the date of issue of the notice. Direction has been given.
According to the notice, if the illegal construction is not removed within the stipulated time, the civic body will demolish it and the valuation department of BMC will recover the cost from them.< /p>
The notice warns that “if you (the owner) fail to comply with (direction), you may be prosecuted under section 475A of the MMC (Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act).
A team of municipal officials inspected the bungalow located in Juhu area on February 21 for alleged violation of CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) norms.
