Air India plane arrived with Indians evacuated from Sumi city
Earlier, a special Air India flight from Jejo city to Indian students evacuated from Sumi city also reached Delhi on Friday morning. Officials said that the special Air India aircraft took off from Zejo at 11.30 pm on Thursday and reached Delhi at 6.45 am on Friday.
Indians are being rescued under Operation Ganga
India is repatriating its citizens stranded in the war-torn country after Russia attacked Ukraine via Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Significantly, after Russia attacked Ukraine, Operation Ganga was started by the government to rescue the stranded Indians there.
