new Delhi, An Indian Air Force aircraft carrying Indian student Harjot Singh, who was shot in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv a few days ago, landed at the Hindon air base here on Monday evening. The officers provided this information.
Officials said that Minister of State for Civil Aviation VK Singh and about 200 Indians, mostly students, also returned to India from this plane. This plane landed at the airport at around 6.15 pm. VK Singh was in Poland to help the return of Indian students.
VK Singh said, “Our Ukrainian Embassy took him (Harjot Singh) out and his condition is stable. He has been referred to RR Hospital for treatment. We have evacuated more than 3,000 Indians from Poland.”

Ukraine’s airspace has been closed since February 24 since Russia’s invasion. Indians stranded in the war-torn country are being brought home by plane via Ukraine’s neighboring countries like Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland.
Harjot Singh was hit by four bullets
Harjot Singh had boarded a cab for the city of West Lviv with two of his friends on February 27 as part of an attempt to leave Kyiv. During this he was hit by four bullets.
Harjot’s family in Delhi said on Sunday that they are “very happy” that he is back and are eagerly waiting for his return. The Ministry of External Affairs had announced on Friday that the government would bear the cost of Harjot Singh’s treatment.
