The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a professor posted in the Civil Engineering Department of Jamia Millia Islamia University and employees of two companies for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. This action has been taken in the case of giving fake certificates to the structure of the building being constructed by taking bribe.
After the arrest, the CBI raided the premises of the accused. These accused will be produced before the special CBI court. According to CBI spokesperson RC Joshi, those arrested include Professor Khalid Moin Vyom posted in the Civil Engineering Department of Jamia Millia Islamia University, Prakhar Pawar of Architect and Abid Khan, an employee of the same company.
< p>This company is mentioned in Okhla Phase 3 of Delhi. It is alleged that this professor used to issue structure stable certificates for buildings through various private builders, architects, intermediaries etc. It is also alleged that the professor used to collect his convenience fee in lieu of issuing the certificate.
According to the CBI, a preliminary inquiry was conducted on the basis of the information and after getting important facts during this investigation, FIR was registered against the accused under various criminal sections. After this, by laying a trap, the CBI arrested the professor and his associates who were taking a bribe of one lakh rupees.
After the arrest, the CBI raided the places of the accused. According to the CBI, the arrested accused will be produced before the special CBI court. CBI wants to know how many such buildings have been issued by these people so far.
Sources say that the 1st floor of the building in Sector 109 of Gurgaon had collapsed recently The certificate for that building was also issued by the same professor. CBI is also investigating in this regard.
