The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have busted a terror module by arresting six terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Pulwama. This module was active in the district for the past one year and provided logistical support to Lashkar terrorists.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the arrested persons have been identified as Rauf Ahmed Lone of Lelhar Kakapora. Amjid, Aaqib Maqbool Bhat of Alochibagh Pampore, Javed Ahmed Dar and Sajad Ahmed Dar of Kakapora, Arshid Ahmad Mir and Rameez Raja of Parigam Pulwama have been identified as.
Police said that after preliminary investigation. During this it was revealed that these arrested terrorist associates were involved in providing logistics, sheltering, managing and transferring extremist finances and motivating the youth to act as hybrid extremists.
< p>Police said that the investigation team also came to know that they were working for terrorist commander Reyaz Ahmed Dar, Shiraz of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a resident of Sedergund Kakapora Pulwama and were also in constant touch with him. On his instructions, he played an important role in perpetuating terrorism in the district. Police said that investigation has been started by registering a case under relevant sections of law in Kakapora police station under FIR No.19/2022.
