The Kejriwal government has given a government job to the brother of an IB employee who lost his life in the Delhi riots. Ankit Sharma was murdered in the Delhi violence. Chief Minister Kejriwal handed over a government job certificate to the family on Thursday. In a tweet, he said, human shortage can never be met, but this government job and the help of 1 crore will give strength to the family.
Will do everything possible to help the family in future also. In February 2020, riots broke out in North East Delhi, in which 53 people died and hundreds were injured. The body of IB officer Ankit Sharma was found on February 26, the day after his disappearance, from a drain near his house in Chand Bagh area.

On the other hand, former Congress councilor Ishrat Jahan was released from Tihar Jail here on Wednesday (March 16) evening after getting bail in the conspiracy case of Northeast Delhi riots. A senior jail official said that Ishrat Jahan was released from Mandoli jail at around 7.45 pm on Wednesday. A Delhi court had on Monday granted bail to Jahan in a case related to the larger conspiracy of the 2020 Delhi riots. Ishrat Jahan and several others were booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for playing a role as the main conspirator for the February 2020 riots in North-East Delhi. 53 people died in these riots and more than 700 people were injured.
