Shatrughan Sinha News: Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made a big announcement today. By tweeting, Mamta Banerjee has declared former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha as the candidate for the Lok Sabha by-election from Asansol. Along with this, Mamta has nominated former Union Minister and singer Babul Supriyo for the assembly by-election from Ballygunge. The great thing is that after the resignation of Babul Supriyo, the Asansol seat fell vacant.

Announcing the names of both the leaders, Mamata tweeted, “I am happy to announce on behalf of Trinamool Congress that former Union Minister Shatrughan Sinha will contest the Lok Sabha by-election from Asansol and Babul Supriyo will contest the assembly by-election from Ballygunge. candidates will be Jai Hind, Jai Bangla, Jai Maa, Mati-Manush.

Significantly, in West Bengal, voting will be held for by-elections on 12th of next month in one Lok Sabha and four assembly seats. Last year, Babul Supriyo, a minister in the Modi government, had resigned from the Asansol Lok Sabha seat and joined the TMC.
