Uttar Pradesh’s caretaker Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday in his first visit to the national capital after the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the assembly elections. The meeting which started at 5 o’clock lasted for about two and a half hours. Yogi Adityanath Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited for the swearing-in ceremony. At the same time, PM Modi has congratulated Yogi Adityanath for his victory in UP.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the information regarding the meeting by tweeting. PM Modi wrote Yogi Adityanath today Met with G. Congratulating him on the historic victory in the Uttar Pradesh elections. In the last 5 years, he has worked tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of the people. I am sure that in the coming years he will take the state to greater heights of development. According to sources, on March 20-21 Yogi Adityanath Can take oath as the next CM of Uttar Pradesh. About 57 ministers can take oath for Yogi’s new cabinet, it is expected that there will be 22-24 cabinet ministers.

Earlier in the day, Yogi also met Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and BJP General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh. Adityanath is likely to stay in the national capital for two days. The BJP has won 255 seats and its two allies won 18 seats in the recently held elections to the 403-member state assembly. Political analysts believe that Adityanath’s stature has increased with this victory, as his leadership was central to the BJP’s re-conquest efforts in the state.
