Punjab Assembly Election Result 2022: A day after the victory in the Punjab Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial face Bhagwant Mann met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. During the meeting, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann touched the feet of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. After the bumper victory of Delhi, it was a formal meeting of Bhagwant Mann with Kejriwal at his residence.
The Aam Aadmi Party won 92 seats in the 117-member assembly, while the Congress was reduced to 18 seats. AAP also wiped out the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance. SAD got three seats while BJP got two and BSP got only one seat. Many heavyweights including Channi, Parkash Singh Badal and Amarinder Singh had to face defeat in the assembly elections. Channi lost both the seats from where he contested.

On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal thanked the Prime Minister on Friday for receiving congratulations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the victory of the Aam Aadmi Party in the Punjab Assembly elections. The Prime Minister had congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party by tweeting on Thursday night. PM Modi had tweeted, “My congratulations to the Aam Aadmi Party for the victory in the Punjab elections. I assure all possible help from the Center for the welfare of Punjab.” In response to this tweet, Kejriwal wrote, “Thank you sir.”
