Mayawati’s party BSP has been cleared in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. After the crushing defeat in the UP elections, Mayawati has now started taking big decisions. On Saturday morning, he has announced by tweeting that all the spokespersons of Bahujan Samaj Party will no longer participate in any TV debate. At the same time, he has accused the media of casteist attitude.
Mayawati wrote in her tweet, ‘During the UP assembly elections, the work of harming the Ambedkarite BSP movement by adopting casteist hatred and hateful attitude by the media under the guidance of their bosses is not hidden from anyone. In this situation party spokespersons will also be given new responsibility. Therefore all the spokespersons of the party, Mr. Sudheendra Bhadauria, Mr. Dharamvir Choudhary, Dr. MH Khan, Mr. Faizan Khan and Mrs. Seema Kushwaha will no longer participate in TV debates etc.

Earlier after the election results, Mayawati had said, “The UP election result is contrary to the BSP’s expectations. We should not be disappointed by it. Instead, we should learn from it, introspect and take our party movement forward and Must come back to power. Before 2017, BJP did not have a good share in Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, today Congress is also passing through similar phase as BJP. UP election result is a lesson for us to continue striving.” He alleged that the negative campaign against the BSP misled the public.
How many seats did BSP get?
Mayawati’s party BSP has been able to win only one seat out of 403 assembly seats in UP. Whereas in the 2017 assembly elections, the BSP had won 19 seats. This time in the 2022 assembly elections, the BSP has got less than 13 percent votes.
