The film ‘The Kashmir Files’ made on Kashmiri Pandits is proving to be a superhit. The film has earned more than 100 crores in a week. Political rhetoric is also happening a lot regarding this film of Vivek Agnihotri. While the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are praising the film, many parties including the Congress say that the whole truth has not been shown in it. Amidst all this, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has reacted to the film. He said that many types of lies have been shown in the film.
Omar Abdullah said, ‘The Kashmir Files film has shown different types of lies. When the Kashmiri Pandits left here, Farooq Abdullah was not the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, at that time there was a governor’s rule and V.P. Singh’s government was supported by the BJP.
Many false things have been shown in ‘The Kashmir Files’ movie. During that time Farooq Abdullah was not J&K’s CM but Governor rule was there. VP Singh’s government was there in the country which was backed by BJP: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah pic.twitter.com/DN0dMQz5L2

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of a rally in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, Omar said it was not clear whether it was a film or a documentary. He also said that Kashmiri Pandits were not the only ones who had to flee or were killed. Muslims and Sikhs were also killed, they too had to flee Kashmir and have not returned yet.
