On the start of the vaccination of children of 12 to 14 years, PM Modi said – Today is a very important day

More than 180 crore corona vaccine doses have been administered in India, but now the vaccination of children between the ages of 12 and 14 has also started. with which the prime minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness. PM Modi said that today is a very important day. Now the vaccine is being administered to children aged 12 to 14 years, while the third dose will be administered to all people above 60 years of age.

Information given about the entire vaccination campaign
While appealing, PM Modi said that all the eligible people should get the vaccine done as soon as possible. Referring to the further vaccination drive, he said that India’s vaccination drive is the largest in the world. We started the work of making the vaccine in the beginning of 2020 to protect the people of our country and fight the epidemic. PM Modi said that, in January 2021, we started the vaccination campaign for doctors, healthcare workers and frontline workers. The purpose of which was to protect the frontline workers from Corona as soon as possible.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Modi gave information about vaccination by tweeting many more. He said that in March 2021, the vaccination campaign started for people above the age of 60 years. It also included people who were above 45 years of age and were suffering from other diseases. After this the vaccine was given to all people above 18 years of age. It is a matter of pride that the vaccine was given free of cost to the people. Today India has crossed the figure of 180 crore doses. In which 9 crore doses were administered to people aged 15 to 17 years, while more than 2 crore third doses have been administered. Due to which our people have got great protection from Corona.

Today is an important day in India’s efforts to vaccinate our citizens. Now onwards, youngsters in the 12-14 age group are eligible for vaccines and all those above 60 are eligible for precaution doses. I urge people in these age groups to get vaccinated.

PM also appreciated the states
PM Modi further wrote that, for the last one year, India’s vaccination is going on with the people. In many other countries, where there was hesitation about the vaccine, in India, people themselves got the vaccine, but inspired others to do the same. During this, PM Modi also appreciated the states. He said that, I appreciate them for the cooperation of the states in the vaccination drive. Especially in hilly states where tourism is most important, they have almost completed their vaccination.

The PM said that India has also done the work of giving vaccines to many countries of the world under the Vaccine Friendship Program. He said that today India has many made in India vaccines. Along with this, we have also approved many more vaccines. We are in a much better position to fight this pandemic. But along with this we have to follow all the rules related to Corona.
