AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has attacked the Modi government regarding China. Owaisi said, China is claiming that the dispute with India in the hot springs of Ladakh has been resolved. Will the government confirm whether this is true or false? If true, then the meeting of the last two phases took place, what was it for.
Further Owaisi said, I have personally raised a question about the situation on the Ladakh border that our soldiers are not being allowed to patrol in those places where they used to do earlier. But the government has not told the truth so far, not even in Parliament. She is silent and confused.
Earlier on Friday (March 11), the 15th round of military talks between India and China was held. But both the countries failed to achieve any major success in resolving the pending issues. But both the countries agreed to continue talks to reach a solution at the earliest.
A day after the nearly 13-hour-long meeting, the two sides in a joint statement on Saturday once again said that such a solution would help restore peace and stability along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh and Will improve progress in bilateral relations. Corps commander level talks were held at Chushul-Moldo border point on the Indian side of LAC in eastern Ladakh.
Sources said India placed utmost emphasis on early withdrawal of troops from remaining areas of conflict, including resolution of pending issues in Depsang Bulg and Demchok. He said the focus of the talks was to complete the stalled process of withdrawing troops at Hot Springs (Patrol Point-15).
The East Ladakh standoff between the two sides arose on 5 May 2020, following a violent clash between Indian and Chinese troops in the Pangong Lake area. There are about 50,000 to 60,000 soldiers on the LAC of both the countries.
