India on Saturday said its main focus is to rescue around 700 Indian students stranded in the eastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, where airstrikes are taking place.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said in a press conference that India expects to evacuate its citizens from Kharkiv and Pisochin in the next few hours. “Our main focus is now on getting the Indian students out of Sumi. We are exploring various options to get them out.
