PM Modi inaugurated the metro project, said – Metro will increase the mobility of the people



PM Modi In Pune: Prime minister Narendra Modi Today is on a one day Pune tour. Here he inaugurated the Pune Metro Rail Project. Along with this, PM Modi unveiled the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Pune Municipal Corporation premises. This statue made of 1850 kg gun metal has been installed in Pune Municipal Corporation. Along with this, the PM also laid the foundation stone of many development projects. Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol were also present on the occasion.

The PM inaugurated the RK Laxman Art Gallery-Museum in Pune today and also inaugurated the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Symbiosis University. The PM fully understood the project before inaugurating the metro rail project and then started it. Apart from this, the PM also traveled by boarding the metro. Not only this, he has also talked to many differently-abled students present there during the journey in the same metro.

During the inauguration, the PM said, ‘At this time our country is celebrating the 75th Independence Day, the city of Pune in Maharashtra has contributed a lot to India’s independence. I pay my respectful homage to all the free fighters of this earth.”

The Prime Minister said that apart from the foundation stone laying, several development projects have been inaugurated in Pune today. He said that it is a matter of good fortune that Pune gave me an opportunity to lay the foundation stone. PM Modi said that Pune is known for its cultural, mythological history. He said that I have just traveled in the metro. This metro will increase the mobility and convenience of the people of Pune.

The foundation stone was laid on December 24, 2016

Let us inform that the foundation stone of the project was also laid by PM Modi on December 24, 2016. The Prime Minister inaugurated a 12 km section of the total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project. The entire project is being built at a total cost of over Rs 11,400 crore.
