Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Pune Metro Rail Project in Maharashtra today. After inaugurating PM Modi boarded the metro rail. Statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj unveiled
Prime minister Narendra Modi The statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was unveiled on Sunday in the Pune Municipal Corporation premises. In this regard, an official said that this statue is made of 1,850 kg ‘gunmetal’ and its length is about 9.5 feet.
Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol greeted Modi at the municipal headquarters here and presented him with ‘feta’, a specially crafted traditional Maharashtra cap. Modi also paid floral tributes at the statue of social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule at the civic body headquarters.
PM came to inaugurate metro
Earlier, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, state cabinet minister and senior Shiv Sena leader Subhash Desai, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis and BJP state unit president Chandrakant Patil welcomed Modi at the Lohegaon International Airport here.
During his visit to Pune, Modi inaugurated a 12-km stretch of the total 32.2 km long metro rail project at Garware metro station and traveled from this station to Anandnagar station. The total cost of the Pune Metro project is more than Rs 11,400 crore. The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of this project on December 24, 2016.
