PM Modi will inaugurate metro rail project in Pune today, will show green signal to many projects

PM Modi in Pune: Prime minister Narendra Modi Today he will go to Pune in Maharashtra and will inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail Project. Along with this, PM Modi will unveil the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the Pune Municipal Corporation premises. He will also lay the foundation stone for many development projects. Apart from this, he will inaugurate the RK Laxman Art Gallery-Museum and will also inaugurate the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Symbiosis University.

PM Modi will unveil the statue of Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Pune Municipal Corporation premises at around 11 am. This idol is made of 1850 kg gun metal and is about 9.5 feet high.

Rs 11,400 crore will be spent for the project

After this, PM Modi will inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail Project at 11.30 am. The project is an attempt to provide world class infrastructure for urban movement in Pune. The foundation stone of the project was also laid by PM Modi on December 24, 2016. The Prime Minister will inaugurate a 12 km stretch of the total 32.2 km Pune Metro Rail Project. The entire project is being built at a total cost of over Rs 11,400 crore. Modi will also inaugurate and inspect the exhibition at Garware metro station and will take a metro ride from there to Anandnagar metro station.

PM will also lay foundation stone for rejuvenation and pollution abatement of Mula-Mutha river projects

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects at around 12 noon. The nine kilometer stretch of the river will be rejuvenated at a project cost of over Rs.1080 crores, which will include works like riverbank protection, interceptor sewage network, public facilities, boating activity etc. The Mula-Mutha River Pollution Abatement Project will be implemented on the concept of “One City One Operator” at a cost of over Rs.1470 crore. A total of 11 sewage treatment plants will be constructed under the project with a total capacity of about 400 MLD.

The Prime Minister will also launch 100 e-buses and an e-bus depot built at Baner. Built at Balewadi, Pune, the Prime Minister RK Laxman will inaugurate the Art Gallery-Museum. The main attraction of the museum is a miniature model based on Malgudi village, which will be brought to life through audio-visual effects. Cartoons made by cartoonist RK Laxman will be displayed in the museum. After this, PM Modi will start the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Symbiosis University at around 1:45 pm.
