Political activists get killed, we grieve, life goes on and then the same thing happens. A mind-numbing pattern to these killings and our reactions to it.” Sadly, nothing changes.” After this, he tweeted another, “I can only express my prayers and my condolences to Shabbir’s family that he gets a place in heaven. I wish his death was final. But sadly it will not happen.”

Earlier on Wednesday, a sarpanch was shot dead by terrorists on the outskirts of Srinagar. The sarpanch was identified as Sameer Bhat. Political parties had reacted sharply to the killing of the sarpanch. The Resistance Front (TRF), an organization affiliated with the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, had claimed responsibility for the attack in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. Police officials said Bhat was provided security and was lodged in a hotel in Srinagar, but on Wednesday he came out without informing him when terrorists attacked him in Khonmoh on the outskirts of the city. A police spokesman said that preliminary investigation revealed that the terrorists entered the sarpanch’s house and fired indiscriminately at him.
