Somewhere orders to shoot, somewhere section-144, tight security arrangements in electoral states before the results

Now one day is left for the results of the assembly elections of five states. In such a situation, the movement has intensified there. There is a gathering of party workers outside the strong room, so the police-administration is also not trying to leave any stone unturned regarding security. In view of the counting of votes to be held on March 10 in Uttar Pradesh, 70 thousand civil police workers will be deployed. At the same time, 245 companies of paramilitary and 69 companies of PSE will be deployed.

UP ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that strict action will be taken against those who try to disturb the atmosphere. Security forces will also be deployed in sensitive areas. Lucknow Police Commissioner DK Thakur said that we have taken strict steps for the security of EVM strong room. Strong rooms will be opened at 7 am in the presence of election observers and candidates. Counting will start at 8 am. Patrolling will be done in sensitive areas.

The Captain of Kanpur Police has issued strict orders so that there should not be any disturbance or chaos on the day of counting. Police have warned that if anyone tries to obstruct the counting of votes, they will be shot at sight.

On the other hand, the results will be announced tomorrow in Uttarakhand too. Haridwar DM Vinay Shankar Pandey said, three-tier security arrangements have been made in Haridwar. There are 11 assembly seats in the district. In view of security, Section 144 has been imposed and procession is prohibited.

Punjab Chief Electoral Officer S. Karuna Raju told that the counting of votes will start at 8 o’clock tomorrow. Officers have been given 3-4 phases of training. Data will be released to the media as soon as permission is received from the Election Commission on the Voter Helpline App. Three layer security has been deployed at the counting site.
