A few weeks ago the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office brought in a few of the aforementioned items for the local policing community. They did not scurry like a gnat, in fact they took the time to stop by and ask for the good stuff. One of the most notable occurrences was the mobile office. It may have been the only time the deputies were in one place at the same time.
The sheriff’s office was also on hand for some other important matters. In short, the sheriff’s department was involved in a nefarious smuggling case that led to the arrests of two subjects, one of which went to Mobile Metro Jail. Thankfully, it was only a matter of time before these ne’er doers were tamed into submission. As a side benefit, the aforementioned ne’er doers were rewarded with a free lunch in the form of a burger and fries. Although a little too greasy for the taste buds, it was a tasty morsel in the right circumstances.
One of the most interesting aspects of the sheriff’s office is that they are able to work with state and federal law enforcement agencies on a daily basis. That, in and of itself, is a big win for the people who make up the Mobile County Sheriff’s office. Combined with a slew of top notch detectives, they are a force to be reckoned with. After the shenanigans are quelled, the sheriff’s office can begin to concentrate on some of the less than glamorous duties that have been taking up the majority of their waking hours for so long.
Besides the aforementioned, the sheriff’s office had a few other tangentially related high octane thrills to brag about. Not to mention a few worthy recipients of the aforementioned benevolence. Whether you are a local or a visitor, the sheriff’s office is certainly a welcome sight in a city that is known for its naysayers.
