The results of Goa assembly elections are out and BJP has emerged as the single largest party in the state. BJP has got maximum 20 seats. But the party could not reach the majority mark. The magic figure of majority in Goa is 21. After the declaration of the results, Goa BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanawade has made a big claim. According to him, three independent MLAs have given support to BJP and with this the total number of seats of BJP has crossed the majority mark.
According to the President of Goa BJP, 3 independent MLAs have given their support letter to him, so he will form the government with full majority. Not only this, Sadanand Shet Tanawade has also claimed that the MLAs of Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party have also decided to support him. However, so far no response has been given from the independent MLAs or the MGP.

BJP has secured maximum 20 seats, while Congress has got 11, Aam Aadmi Party 2, Goa Forward Party 1, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak 2, Revolutionary Goans Party 1 and Independent candidates 3 seats. There are a total of 40 assembly seats in the state and the majority figure is 21. If BJP gets the support of independent candidates, then it will form the government in the state with an absolute majority.
