Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has been made tax free in Uttar Pradesh. state chief minister Yogi Adityanath has directed it. The movie has been declared tax free in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka before UP. ‘The Kashmir Files’ has recently been released in cinemas. The film has also remained a topic of discussion on social media.
Tax free in Goa too
Goa’s caretaker Chief Minister Pramod Sawant also supported ‘The Kashmir Files’. He said that it will continue to be shown on as many screens as possible in the state. Pramod Sawant tweeted that the story of pain, struggle, suffering of Kashmiri Hindus needs to be understood by all so that we ensure that such history is not repeated. I have spoken to the INOX management and the film will continue to be shown on as many screens as possible. Pramod Sawant said that the film will be made tax free in Goa.
The film throws light on the atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s, when they were killed, persecuted and forced to leave their homes. The film is getting huge support from the Center and the states.
