Bir Billing, a valley famous for paragliding in Himachal Pradesh, has once again become the cause of an accident. On Tuesday afternoon, two pilots and a tourist met with an accident while taking off from the take-off point of the valley. In this accident, 29-year-old pilot Rakesh Kumar resident of Beed and 31-year-old tourist Akash Agarwal resident of Vijay Nagar-Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh died, while 34-year-old Vikas Kapoor resident of Beed was seriously injured.
Rakesh’s arm got stuck in the glider
According to the information, as soon as the pilot took off from the take-off point of Billing, the arm of Rakesh Kumar, who helped Vikas Kapoor and Akash Agarwal, who was flying Tandem, got stuck in the glider, after which Rakesh was paraglider for some time. Trapped in and later got injured after falling. At the same time, the pilot and the tourist who made the tandem flight also fell uncontrollably, who were later brought to the CHC Center Beed by other pilots present on the spot, from where they were referred to the Civil Hospital Baijnath, but even before reaching the hospital, pilot Rakesh Kapoor. And tourist Akash Aggarwal died, while pilot Vikas Kapoor was referred to Tanda Medical College by doctors in critical condition.
Pilot and tourist killed in accident
Confirming the matter, DC Kangra Dr. Nipun Jindal said that the bodies of the pilot and the tourist killed in the accident have been kept at the Civil Hospital Baijnath, whose post-mortem will be conducted on Wednesday. DC Kangra and Chairman of Disaster Management Department Dr. Nipun Jindal have ordered a judicial inquiry to Baijnath’s SDM regarding the accident in Bir Billing and asked to present the report related to this matter within a week. The DC said that a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each has been sanctioned to each of the deceased and immediate relief has been provided by the administration to the family of the deceased and the injured pilot.
