Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has accused the BJP of rigging the counting of votes. He claimed that EVMs have been caught in Varanasi. Regarding this, he said that it is a conspiracy of theft before the results. BJP has retaliated on Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations. The statement of Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has come to the fore. Keshav Maurya has said that his allegations are baseless. Akhilesh Yadav is desperate. Apart from him, the statement of Union Minister Anurag Thakur and UP Law Minister Brajesh Pathak has also come to the fore.
Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP in a press conference on Tuesday, saying, “The call is going from place to place of the chief minister, the chief secretary, that where BJP loses, there should be counting slow (counting votes slowly). With this He said that today EVMs were being taken to Banaras. One truck was caught, two ran away with the truck.”
Responding to these allegations of Akhilesh Yadav, Anurag Thakur said, “It was during the voting itself that Akhilesh Yadav understood that people are not serious about SP. There were more people with jail-belt in his first list. On March 10, Akhilesh Yadav Ji will say EVM is unfaithful, he didn’t even wait for it. He said this on March 8 itself.”
On Akhilesh Yadav’s statement, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Akhilesh Yadav’s statement is an attempt to spoil the atmosphere. It does not suit to accuse any officer and commission. Akhilesh Yadav, who is doing family politics, is a member of BJP democracy. She is the protector, she is the protector of saving from familyism. He said that you (Akhilesh Yadav) have given this statement in your anger and panic.
Brajesh Pathak said, “I do not want to make any statement on the Samajwadi Party, such statements keep coming from their side, it does not matter. On March 10, BJP is going to occupy power, will cross 300 seats. The public has seen and denied their disturbance.”
