Akhilesh Yadav claimed victory in the assembly elections on the basis of postal ballot



Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has claimed victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections-2022 on the basis of postal ballot. He tweeted on Tuesday that the SP alliance got 51.5 percent votes in the postal ballot, according to this we won 304 seats. On this tweet of Akhilesh Yadav, BJP leader and former Union Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla said that elections are not held only by postal ballot. If so what is the meaning of EVM?

Akhilesh Yadav wrote in the tweet, 51.5% votes received by the SP-Alliance in the postal ballot and according to them the victory of the SP-Alliance in 304 seats is telling the truth of the election. Thank you to every true government employee, teacher and voter who cast the postal ballot who voted for us honestly. Remember those in power, deceit does not give strength.

Let us tell you that BJP has once again returned to power with a thumping majority. BJP alliance has got 273 seats. The Samajwadi Party-led alliance got 125 seats. Candidates of BSP I, Congress and Jansatta Dal won 2 seats each. The Samajwadi Party had won 52 seats in the 2017 elections. The BJP, along with its ally, had captured 325 seats.

After the defeat in the UP elections, Akhilesh Yadav has called a meeting of newly elected SP MLAs at the party office in Lucknow on March 21. Despite the defeat in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, party chief Akhilesh Yadav thanked the people of the state for increasing the seats and increasing the vote percentage of the Samajwadi Party (SP).
