Former Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis raised the issue of interrogation by Mumbai Cyber Police in the transfer posting case in Maharashtra Assembly session today. Members complained about this. But the committee had already been appointed.
Former CM Fadnavis was summoned
In fact, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was summoned on Saturday to appear at the BKC Cyber Police Station. In the case filed under the Official Secrets Act, Mumbai Cyber Police summoned former Maharashtra CM Fadnavis. Yesterday i.e. on Sunday, Fadnavis was asked to be present at the Cyber Police Station located on the first floor of BKC Police Station.
What is the matter?
An FIR was registered against unidentified persons under the Official Secrets Act at the BKC cyber police station last year for allegedly tapping phones and leaking confidential documents. The complaint in this case was lodged by the State Intelligence Department.
Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil had last month alleged that when IPS officer Rashmi Shukla was the state’s intelligence chief, Congress state unit president Nana Patole, minister Bacchu Kadu, former MLA Ashish Deshmukh, former MP Sanjay Kakade and several leaders were involved. The phones were tapped.
