Former CM Akhilesh Yadav accuses BJP of cheating, meets SP MLAs



Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that the sanctity of politics has been in danger due to the politics of this party’s deceit. Akhilesh alleged in Lucknow that the “cleanliness of politics” has been in trouble due to the BJP’s gimmicky politics. They have gone in the background, the very foundation of democracy is in danger.

The SP president said that in the assembly elections, the public has become a victim of the politics of fear and confusion of the BJP. He said that the Samajwadi Party along with all its allies and supporters will continue to struggle by making a future strategy with new energy, progressive thinking. Akhilesh said that the independent role of the Election Commission is necessary in safeguarding the constitution that guides the nation-state, democracy and constitution are tested in elections.

The former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh alleged that despite being in power for five years, BJP did not do any work in public interest. Now again BJP is ruling in the state, but the problems which BJP has created are not being resolved far and wide. SP’s chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said that party president Akhilesh Yadav was met at the state headquarters by several newly elected MLAs of the party, leaders of the alliance and a large number of supporters. During this, those who met made them aware of the rigging of elections in their respective constituencies, the names of SP supporters were marked and cut in the voter list in large numbers.
