The seventh day of the Jaipur Literature Festival was also a blast. Famous actor Manoj Bajpayee was one of the many special guests on this day. The actor spoke on many issues on the JLF stage. Among the issues that Manoj talked about were issues like censorship and villain’s role in OTT.
Speaking in favor of OTT content, Manoj Bajpayee said that there is all kinds of content here. But it is up to the audience to see him or not. He considered any form of censorship wrong.
Comparing the OTT platform to the railway station, Manoj Bajpayee said that everything is available here. There are all kinds of books, good and bad and obscene, like there are at the railway station. It is in the hands of the people to choose it. He further said that OTT has connected everyone from Kashmir to Kanyakumari today. People speaking different languages are also watching each other’s movies.
Manoj defended the OTT filmmakers and said that it is the responsibility of the parents to take care of the children. It is wrong to accuse the director. No one can be a bigger censor in Indian society than parents. There should be freedom for all types of content.
Discussion on literature of 15 different languages
JLF is being organized this year at a new location. Let us inform that in the five-day on-ground program of JLF, literature of 15 different languages of the world will be discussed. Various aspects of literature as well as topics like Ukraine-Russia dispute, climate change, new world order, art of imagination, poetry, travel, science, history are being discussed in JLF.
This time 400 speakers are participating, there will be many such sessions in the festival, where many languages and dialects of Rajasthan will be discussed.
