Kabaddi player shot dead during match in Jalandhar



An international kabaddi player was shot dead in Jalandhar, Punjab. This incident was carried out during the Kabaddi tournament in Malian village of Jalandhar. The player’s name is Sandeep Singh Nangal. More than two dozen youths opened fire and killed Sandeep Singh Nangal.

According to the information, during a match of the tournament being played in the stadium this evening suddenly indiscriminate firing started. In the firing, Sandeep Singh, a player in the Kabaddi team, received several bullets. 

Seeing this, there was a stampede among the spectators. The miscreants who opened fire managed to escape from the spot. People present at the spot took Sandeep to the hospital. However, he died on the way.

On the other hand, police teams reached the spot and hospital as soon as the information was received. In order not to worsen the situation in the area, the top police officers have deployed heavy police force. The police started interrogating the people present at the spot and got clues about the accused. A blockade has been started in the surrounding area and the search for the attackers has been started. The police is also trying to know whether the deceased was having any rivalry with anyone. At present, the police have started talking to the relatives of the deceased and started investigating all the aspects related to the murder.
