He said, ‘‘Congress has lost not only in Punjab but also in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur and Gandhi family is solely responsible for the party’s humiliating defeat.’’ Referring to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, he said, ‘‘people across the country have lost faith in the leadership of the Gandhi family.’’
In the recently concluded Punjab Assembly elections, Congress won only 18 seats and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured 92 seats in the 117-member assembly.
He said, ‘‘These leaders are just sycophants, who are trying to save the family by blaming others and closing their eyes to the writing on the wall.’’ He claimed that Congress has no future in the present system.
